Job Description

Join a large and well-established housing association in Wales and benefit from a permanent position, generous pension contributions and a flexible benefits package. As a Gas Engineer, you'll help keep residents' homes safe, warm and well maintained while earning £40,937.14 per year.

This opportunity is with a respected social housing provider operating across south-east Wales. You'll join a supportive maintenance team that values high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service and opportunities for professional development. As a Gas Engineer, you'll work across both occupied and void domestic properties throughout south-east Wales.

I'd be keen to see applications from anyone who has worked as a Gas Engineer, Heating Engineer, Domestic Gas Engineer or similar within property repairs and maintenance.

As a Gas Engineer, you will be:
  • Carrying out reactive heating and plumbing repairs
  • Servicing domestic boilers and fires
  • Diagnosing faults and providing practical technical solutions
  • Completing gas inspections, testing and associated works
  • Recording completed works accurately using electronic systems
  • Working across occupied and void domestic properties
  • Supporting wider compliance and maintenance teams
  • Participating in the out-of-hours call-out service when required
I'd love to speak to anyone who has:
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3, or equivalent, in their primary trade
  • A minimum of three years' relevant experience
  • CCN1 Core Gas Safety
  • CENWAT1 Boilers and Water Heaters
  • CKR1 Cookers
  • HTR1 Fires
  • CPA1 Combustion Analysis
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • A full UK driving licence
