Garden Centre Manager

Our County Kerry based clients are presently recruiting for a commercially minded Garden Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy garden centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate retail professional who enjoys delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales performance, and leading a motivated team in a vibrant horticultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the garden centre, ensuring high standards across all departments.
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members to deliver excellent customer service.
• Drive sales growth through effective merchandising, promotions, and stock management.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, and key business targets.
• Ensure attractive product displays that maximise customer engagement and sales.
• Manage stock ordering, inventory levels, and supplier relationships.
• Maintain excellent standards of plant care, product presentation, and site cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and company procedures.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management, and staff development initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

The Person We Are Looking For

• 2+ years previous management experience within retail, garden centre, horticulture, or a related environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Commercial awareness with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible and committed to delivering outstanding results.
