Job Description
Garage Receptionist / Administrator This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in a garage or workshop environment who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You'll be the first point of contact for customers, supporting the day-to-day running of our reception while working closely with technicians, management, and our fleet operations team to ensure vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Greeting customers in person, over the phone, and via email with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Booking in vehicles for servicing, repairs, MOTs, and inspections.
  • Scheduling maintenance, servicing, and safety checks for a large vehicle fleet.
  • Keeping customers updated on repair progress and expected completion times.
  • Contacting customers to obtain approval for any additional work required.
  • Liaising with technicians and management to ensure work is completed efficiently.
  • Producing invoices and processing customer payments.
  • Ordering vehicle parts and monitoring stock levels.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all mandatory paperwork is up to date.
  • Using internal systems to manage schedules and vehicle information.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area.
  • Providing administrative support and carrying out other reasonable duties as required.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 2 years' administration or receptionist experience.
  • Previous experience working within a garage, workshop, or automotive environment is essential.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Good IT skills and experience working with computerised systems.
  • Experience with scheduling, stock control, and ordering parts.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable.
