Garage & Workshop Manager

Our Midleton, County Cork clients are presently recruiting for a Garage & Workshop Manager. You will oversee daily servicing and body shop operations in a busy independent garage. You will come with a minimum of 5 years' experience and will manage a team of Mechanics and Bodyshop staff. You will manage the daily workflow of servicing of vehicles and crash repairs, allocating jobs to mechanics and technicians accordingly. This is a permanent, full-time position.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Manage daily workflow and allocate jobs to mechanics and technicians
• Oversee servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and vehicle preparation work
• Plan and prioritise bookings to meet deadlines efficiently
• Receive job sheets and assign work from the office
• Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
• Ensure accurate recording of labour hours and job details
• Oversee pre-delivery inspections, test drives, and final checks
• Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for handover
• Liaise with office staff on progress updates, pricing, and queries
• Support, motivate, and guide workshop staff
• Maintain stock levels and workshop organisation
• Ensure a safe, tidy, and efficient working environment
• Improve systems and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Who Should Apply:

• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle servicing and repair
• Proven leadership and workshop management experience
• Excellent IT, organisation and communication skills
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively

Salary is open to negotiation and based on experience and in the region of €60,000 - €70,000.
