Job Title: Radar Signal ProcessingTechnical Lead

Salary: Circa £ 80000 depending on skills andexperience

Putyourself into a dynamic Radar Signal Processing Technical Lead roleat the forefront of real world demands in the defence industry.Alongside ensuring operational excellence for our existingproducts, there will be the opportunity to develop next generationradar products to counter emerging threats and contribution to ourstrategy for new technology. Your new day-to-day will be excitingand diverse by applying the principles of System Engineering acrossthe entire engineering development lifecycle as you join indeveloping radar systems used by those who serve and protectus.

What you'll be doing:

• Leaddesign and architectural implementation of a common signalprocessing platform for future complex radar products, providetechnical leadership and focus to a team that will design,implement and integrate signal processing solutions into radarproducts

• Effectively interact with the project technicalauthority, project engineering manager and seniorstakeholders

• Collaborate with specialists across differentengineering disciplines including electronics, electrical,mechanical and software to direct and realise a consistent systemdesign approach

• Apply andchampion the Systems Engineering principles of ISO 15288 to thedesign across the entire engineering lifecycle from requirementdefinition to system integration and customer acceptance intosystem support anddisposal

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Expert anddetailed understanding of Signal Processing algorithms and theimplementation of these in a real time software-drivenenvironment

• Understandthe relationship between algorithmic, software and hardwareplatformimplementation

• Experienceof leading signal processing architectural development and designactivities

• Experiencein one or more programming languages

Desirable:

• Experiencein Complex Radar SignalProcessing

• Knowledgeof software and hardware engineering lifecycles from requirementscapture to in-service support is highlydesirable

The Radar SystemsEngineeringteam:

As the Radar Signal Processing Technical Lead, youwill lead the design and implementation of a common signalprocessing platform for future radar products. You'll providetechnical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuringintegration of signal processing solutions across the fullengineering lifecycle. Working closely with senior stakeholders andengineering specialists, you'll apply and promote ISO 15288 SystemsEngineering principles to deliver a consistent and effective systemdesign.

Our workplace in Cowes is an easilyaccessible commute from Southampton with a regular foot passengerferry and BAE shuttle service from the ferry terminal tosite.
