Functional Skills Teacher - Part Time (2.5 Days)

The Role

Part time - 2.5 days per week

• Delivering Functional Skills Maths and English tailored to individual needs
• Planning and adapting lessons in line with EHCP targets
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Creating an engaging, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Working closely with a small, dedicated staff team

The Pupils

All students have EHCPs and present with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), Trauma and attachment needs (primary focus) and Mild ASD.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS) or experienced Functional Skills Tutor
• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths and/or English
• Strong understanding of SEMH and trauma informed approaches
• Confident differentiating for pupils with EHCPs
• Patient, adaptable, and relationship driven
