Job Description

Are you passionate about Maths and committed to helping students build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed?

What you'll do

  • Teach Maths to students across relevant programmes and levels.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support student learning and achievement.
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
  • Develop resources and activities to enhance students' understanding of Maths.
  • Maintain accurate registers and student records.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities.
  • Keep up to date with developments in Maths and teaching practice.
  • Support a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What we're looking for

  • A degree in Maths /related subject or equivalent working experience
  • A full Level 5 teaching qualification, or be currently working towards one.
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Level 2 ICT qualification, or willingness to undertake the required qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of Maths to support teaching at Level 2 and 3.
  • Knowledge and understanding of coursework requirements and assessment.
  • Good IT and presentation skills, including the ability to use interactive whiteboards.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a supportive team.
  • A commitment to professional development, equality and safeguarding.
