Fully Funded PhD: Unraveling mtDNA Disease Mechanisms

University of Birmingham invites applications for a fully funded PhD studentship in Professor Hansong Ma's laboratory within the School of Biosciences. The project is part of the MRC CoRE-MitoGT initiative, an international consortium focused on mtDNA mutations and therapies.

The student will work on factors regulating pathogenic mtDNA mutations and identify nuclear regulators to mitigate effects, in Drosophila and human cell models.
