Fullstack Developer/Dev ops engineer-SC cleared, London Outside IR35

Devops Engineer/Fullstack Developer-AWS devops- hands on-Hybrid London or Winchester- 3 days onsite working

Clearance: Candidates must hold active SC and have used it within the last 12 months in another UK government department.

Overview:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established team working on Public Sector project. This position is suited to someone who is not only technically proficient but also a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

You will be comfortable working with both central and dispersed stakeholders, showing persistence and influence to drive better ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelinesSupport the migration from Kubernetes to a serverless architecture

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to both technical delivery and stakeholder engagement

Automate processes to improve operational efficiency and service delivery

Act as the sole DevOps Engineer within the squad, providing end-to-end engineering support

Essential Skills Experience:

CI/CD

Terraform

Kafka

Kubernetes (plus experience migrating away from Kubernetes to serverless)

GitLab

GitHub Actions (and ideally GitHub Enterprise)

AWS services: Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, Athena, RDSStrong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable Skills:

FinOps

Testing

Cybersecurity

Experience working as the sole DevOps Engineer on a project
