Full-time PhD studentship (Chain & Yong Group)

About the role

• Investigate the role of T cell immunity in disease progression in myeloma.
• Use AI-driven structural biology (e.g., AlphaFold) to identify T cells that recognise the cancer.
• Probe and model the functional dynamics of these T cells as the disease progresses.
• Examine how genetics and ethnicity influence immune response and clinical outcome.

About you

• Background in engineering, mathematics, physics or biology.
• Willingness to engage in advanced computer science; experience in programming is helpful.
• First or Upper Second (2.1) Bachelor and/or Masters level degree in a relevant subject.
• UK student classification.
