Job Description

• Full time Permanent Nanny / Housekeeper job. DT10
• Sunrise Nanny Agency are working with a lovely family based near Sturminster Newton, Dorset
• Family has four children aged 9, 7, 5 and 3 years old
• Require a nanny to join their family offering full time hours. They offer 40 hours+ Monday to Friday. The structure of hours can be discussed and mutually agreed between nanny and family
• Position to ideally start July 2026 with flexibility for the right professional to start in August/September
• Experience running a family home is valued; you must be a car driver and confident driving in rural areas / country roads. Car provided on duty
• Position is 50% nanny support and 50% household support
• Ability to provide care for multiple children on sole charge or shared care basis; strong knowledge of child development; plan fun age-appropriate activities at home and in local areas
• Paid overnight support approximately 5 nights per month with dates provided in advance
• Household duties include family laundry, bedding, ironing, tidying and organising the home including children's bedrooms and communal areas; light cleaning ( cleaners employed ); keep kitchen tidy and organised; provide healthy home-cooked meals
• The family live in a large 9-bedroom country home

Responsibilities

• Care for four children (ages 9, 7, 5 and 3) on a sole charge or shared care basis
• Housekeeping duties aligned with family standards (laundry, ironing, tidying, organising, light cleaning)
• Prepare healthy meals for the family
• Manage and maintain children's bedrooms and communal areas
• Overnight care as required (approx. 5 nights per month, dates provided in advance)
• Support with mobility and transportation as needed (car provided on duty)

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experienced childcare professional with previous experience running a family home
• Must be a car driver and comfortable driving in rural areas / country roads
• Ability to provide age-appropriate activities and engage children in developmentally suitable tasks
• Willingness to commit long-term and integrate as part of the family
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary and Benefits

• Competitive salary; around £20 gross per hour depending on experience and qualifications
• Car provided on duty
• Live-out arrangement; family home in rural Dorset
• Start date ideally July 2026, with flexibility for August/September 2026 for the right candidate
