Full time Nanny housekeeper Hornton in Banbury Oxfordshire

Overview

This family of four, living just outside Hornton, Banbury, has two boys: a 5 year old in the local primary school, and a 2 year old who has just started at the same pre school for 2 days a week. Dad mostly works from home (dedicated office space in a separate building) and mum is a homemaker. Mum was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will be starting chemotherapy soon; they desperately need help over the next 12 months as she goes through chemo, surgery, and recovery.

They are seeking someone to help with looking after the children-playing, reading, taking to classes, parks, etc.-and the children love outdoor play, tidying, preparing meals, and helping with light household chores such as washing and folding clothes. Note they have a cleaner too. Ideally the days required are Monday Friday, at least 35 hours a week but they are flexible for more or less hours/day. Mum will still be active around the house, but some days will be better than others. They are looking for a kind empathetic person to lighten the load for their family during this difficult time. We are also open to live in arrangements.

Competitive salary: £18-£20 gross an hour.

Responsibilities

• Looking after the children - playing, reading, taking them to classes, parks, etc.


• Helping the children with outdoor play, tidying, preparing meals, and light household chores such as washing and folding clothes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years working with children of the same age.


• Childcare qualifications not essential for this role.


• Up to date DBS on the update service.


• 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate, or willing to obtain it.


• Minimum 2 professional referees, one of which must be your current or last employer and immediately contactable.

Working Hours & Compensation

Monday Friday, at least 35 hours a week (flexible for more or less). Driver: Yes. Pets: No. Job start date: ASAP. This is a permanent Nanny position.
