Full Time Mobile Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to support our operation. The ideal candidate will possess all the skills required to fully maintain our fleet of vehicles.

A strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating an ability to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to ensure the safety and performance of our fleet.

What you need:

Able to manage your own diary to ensure timely repairs
Prepared to travel around to our sites under taking repairs
Can do attitude
Own van and tools desired but can be provided for the right candidate

Responsibilities

Looking after all sites, Exeter, Bridgend, Southampton and Avonmouth
Repairs to Fridge engines
Tyre changes
Perform routine maintenance tasks.
Repair units
Attend breakdowns in hours
Trailer body repairs
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.

Skills

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
Ability to work independently.
Good communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers.
A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications such as an NVQ or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering are advantageous.
