Charles River Development (CRD) is the FinTech division of StateStreet. Charles River Private Market's (CRPM) offers holistic solutions across clients public and private portfolios. CRD is innovating and transforming the platform by moving from monolithic software to next generation cloud based technology that leverages Microsoft Azure, Kafka, Snowflake, and more.

Summary

As an AVP you will work closely with Product Development to define, drive, and deliver on specific aspects of the CRPM solution. You will lead a full stack engineering team that supports the enhancement and maintenance of multiple Private Markets modules, as part of an agile scrum team.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problems.
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River's business and technical problem domains, including modifications to core frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operation.
  • Provide direct problem solving for projects or major phases to resolve software technical issues.
  • Provide troubleshooting on large, mission critical client implementations.
  • Engage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including daily stand ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Education Requirements

B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field required. M.S. degree preferred.

Key Skills and Prior Experience
  • 7+ years developing event driven architectures; experience in financial services a plus.
  • Experience in cloud native development using Java, Spring, Angular, or React.
  • Experience building observable, operable cloud native software that horizontally scales.
  • Experience with relational databases (RDBMS).
  • Experience with AWS a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities involving multi tiered, high performance database applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop software solutions to complex business and technical problems.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player.

Employees are expected to work from the office 4 days a week.
