Key Details- Full-time role with a 4-day week, including early finishes (3.5-day weeks for 7 out of 9 weeks).
- On-call rota split 1:9 with additional bonus pay for procedures.
- 1:9 weekends.
- Salary up to £77,000 p/a, reflective of skills and experience
- A relocation package of up to £3,000 is available if required.
- Accommodation can be provided during on-call shifts.
- CPD is fully funded and encouraged, with support for certificates.

- Our client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their long-established, independent RCVS-accredited small animal hospital.
- This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, experienced 16-vet team alongside skilled nursing and administrative staff.
- The organisation prioritises patient care over targets and fosters a collaborative, close-knit team environment.
- The rota is designed to ensure all vets receive a fair share of surgery, with two to three vets on surgery Monday to Friday, providing ample opportunities to develop surgical skills.
The practice is a long-standing, independent small animal hospital with modern facilities, including digital x-ray, a new ultrasound machine, endoscopy, laparoscopy, ASIF kit, an in-house laboratory, hydrotherapy, and 24/7 RVN care. The team handles most cases in-house, including soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ECC, and medicine. Exciting refurbishment plans are underway to further enhance the hospital's capabilities.
LocationThe role is based in Bishop's Stortford, a picturesque market town with excellent transport links, including 45 minutes to London, 30 minutes to Cambridge, and 15 minutes to Stansted Airport.
