Fruit Picker

Fruit Picker: The role is a manual fruit picking role that is seasonal, from July to September.

The role reports to a Supervisor and though previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, it is however not mandatory and on the job training will be conducted upon joining.

• Pick good quality fruit
• Pick to the standards of the retailers requirements
• Adhere to field hygiene requirements The role requires working hours within the government stipulation, all overtime is voluntary and we are certified to Ethical Trading Initiative standards.

Pickers are provided with all the necessary picking equipment, which they are required to look after and clean as instructed.

Our trees are kept relatively short so the fruit can be easily reached but anyone requiring a small picking ladder, or steps will be provided with one and they are light and easily moved around the orchard.

Each picker's work is monitored both for quality & quantity to ensure consistency and to reward good work.

Jobs are provided by the Find a Job Service from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
