For our Front-End Development team within the Digital Landscape unit, w e are looking for a

Front End Developer (80-100%)

Location: Remote, based in the United Kingdom or Germany (must already have the legal right to work)

This person will work closely with our Marketing UX & Design team to execute projects that contribute to our core website as well as helping us build landing pages and microsites that comply with current accessibility standards. The position will also support the Marketing and Digital Landscape teams with technical expertise for systems such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Consent Management.

This multifaceted role includes:

  • Execute on projects by developing accessible front-end templates, themes and components based on the design system and layouts delivered by the Marketing UX team (Figma)
  • Build WordPress templates and complete themes (from scratch), with a functional CMS that empowers Karger business users to manage content independently
  • Develop, implement and maintain a GDPR-compliant, cross platform, consent management concept
  • Enforce accessibility standards on all content (currently WCAG 2.1 AA)
  • Support updates across all of our customer facing platforms including Silverchair, WordPress, Thinkific, Salesforce Identify and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)
  • Support the Marketing unit with technical expertise and the administration of Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics
  • Assist with the development of HTML-based marketing newsletter and email templates

Qualification and experience required:

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a computer related discipline
  • Experience building accessible modern websites and WordPress based microsites
  • Good knowledge of the current WCAG standards, how to integrate them into the design process and how to test compliance
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), especially WordPress
  • Experienced with version control using Git, Visual SourceSafe etc.
  • The ability to collaborate across teams and deliver projects on time while working 100% or mostly remote
  • A commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Technical knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (GTM) setup and management
  • Knowledge of GDPR and consent management best practice and system integration / implementation
