About the Hotel

Perched above Portree harbour, The Bosville is a boutique hotel housed within a trio of 18th-century cottages. Stylishly restored, the hotel offers refined yet cosy interiors and spectacular harbour views. Its signature restaurant, Dulse & Brose, celebrates Skye's larder with modern Scottish bistro dining, showcasing freshly landed seafood, Highland meats, and locally foraged ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for from the start.
• Take accurate orders and serve food with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.
• Confidently promote and upsell menu items, including daily specials, desserts, and drinks.
• Share knowledge and passion for food and wine, including recommending pairings to enhance guest experiences.
• Support smooth-running service by coordinating with the kitchen and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
• Maintain immaculate restaurant presentation, ensuring tables, cutlery, and service areas are always guest ready.
• Handle guest requests and feedback with confidence and care.
• Uphold all health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine love of food, dining, and hospitality, a true restaurant enthusiast.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but not essential, we'll provide full training.
• An interest in wine and food pairings, with confidence in recommending specials and upselling.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, guest focused approach.
• Attention to detail and pride in delivering memorable dining experiences.
• A positive, reliable team player with energy and enthusiasm.
