Freight Sales Executive Overview
We are seeking a driven, target-focused Freight Sales Executive to join our clients growing team based just outside Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong background in freight forwarding and proven sales experience who is looking to develop their career within a dynamic and globally connected logistics company.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by achieving and exceeding targets. You will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions.
Freight Sales Executive Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within the freight forwarding and logistics sector
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Promote and sell a full range of freight services, with a focus on road freight solutions
- Understand client requirements and provide tailored, cost-effective logistics solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing deals
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions
- Consistently meet and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs
Freight Sales Executive Key Requirements
- Proven experience in freight forwarding and a strong background in sales
- Good knowledge of road freight operations and the wider logistics industry
- Confident, professional, and highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Target-driven with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A passion for the logistics industry and delivering exceptional customer service
