Freight Forwarder

Brook Street Recruitment are working on behalf of our Belfast client who are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Sea Freight Operative to join a dynamic and growing freight forwarding and customs clearance division focusing on import and export operations

Responsibilities include:

• Arrange transportation by air, sea and road with freight carriers and agents
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery
• Handle bookings with airline, shipping lines and haulage companies
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the shipment process from booking to final delivery
• Prepare and verify shipping documents
• Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to promote smooth operations
• Ensure compliance with import/export laws and customs regulations
• Maintain effective communication with clients for exceptional customer service

The ideal Candidate:

• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
• Previous experience in a sea freight role is preferred
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong IT knowledge with the ability to navigate various operating systems
