About the Role: Based at County Enterprise Foods, S81 7DW, working 37 hours per week, you will play a key role in the day to day operation of the freezer stores. This is a physical, hands on role where you will ensure stock is managed effectively, orders are picked accurately and all food safety standards are maintained.You will also oversee a small team of 2-3 colleagues, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: \ Freezer management: opening, checking and monitoring freezer temperatures to ensure compliance \ Stock control: managing, rotating and recording stock accurately using spreadsheets \ Order picking: ensuring all orders are picked correctly and on time \ Team supervision: supporting and coordinating a small team to meet operational needs \ Health and safety: maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation within freezer areas \ Communication: liaising with multiple teams to ensure smooth day to day operations \ Covering for the Dry Stores person (when on leave) \ Weighing up ingredients in line with production requirements \ Receiving goods in, checking deliveries and ensuring accurate storage Who are we looking for? \ Experience in a stores, warehouse or catering environment is desirable \ Previous experience supervising or leading a small team is advantageous \ Physically fit and comfortable working in a freezer environment \ Basic IT skills, confident using spreadsheets for stock control \ Strong organisational skills with attention to detail \ Good communication skills, able to liaise with different teams effectively \ Level 3 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to work towards this What You'll Bring \ A proactive and reliable approach to work \ Ability to work in a fast paced, manual environment \ Strong teamwork and leadership skills \ Commitment to health and safety standards What We Offer \ £14.08 per hour \ Full time, stable hours (37 per week) \ Full protective clothing provided \ Supportive team environment Apply Today If you're ready to take on a hands on role with responsibility and variety, apply now and start your journey with Vertas.
