Job Description

Freelance System Engineer

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to support and execute cloud migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in on-premise infrastructure and hands-on experience migrating systems, applications, and data to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. This role will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth, secure, and efficient migration process.

Responsibilities:

Participate in the design, planning, and execution of large-scale cloud migration projects.
Assess existing infrastructure and applications to determine cloud readiness and migration strategy.
Implement cloud-native and lift-and-shift solutions based on project requirements.
Perform hands-on technical tasks including server provisioning, data migration, application configuration, and post-migration validation.
Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and security teams to ensure best practices in scalability, performance, and compliance.
Develop and maintain runbooks, documentation, and automation scripts for repeatable migration processes.
Monitor systems before, during, and after migration to ensure minimal downtime and data integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud or hybrid environments (compute, storage, networking).
