Freelance SAP Basis Consultant - Brussels, Belgium - Hybrid

12 month contract

Hybrid - 3 days per week on site, Brussels

We're looking for an experienced System Engineer - SAP Basis Consultant

You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimising SAP systems, ensuring technical stability, performance, and compliance across business-critical applications.

The team manages the technical layer of enterprise applications, focusing on SAP Basis Components (SAP BC) and integrations - essential to the smooth running of business operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and configure SAP application environments

• Perform SAP system copies, refreshes, and upgrades

• Install and configure SAP systems, add-ons, and integrations (IDOC, Web Services)

• Set up batch jobs, backups, and high-availability solutions

• Monitor system performance and carry out root cause analysis

• Configure Solution Manager for centralised management

• Support project teams with SAP Basis best practices

• Manage roles and authorisations

• Handle logging, archiving, and operational monitoring

• Participate in incident and problem management (2nd line)

• Provide training, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Experience:

• 5+ years in SAP Basis Administration

• 5+ years managing SAP Roles & Authorizations

• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA

Qualifications & Skills:

• Fluent in either French or Dutch

• Good command of English
