Freelance SAP ABAP Developer - Brussels (Hybrid)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a dynamic team supporting SAP development projects for a leading client in Brussels. The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining ABAP solutions within a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces

• Customize SAP modules via enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and BAPIs

• Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications

• Debug and resolve technical issues within SAP environments

• Ensure compliance with SAP development standards and best practices

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Support system upgrades and data migrations where applicable

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development

• Strong knowledge of classical and object-oriented ABAP programming

• Experience with ALV reports, BAPIs, BDCs, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and enhancements

• Ability to debug and optimize ABAP code for performance

• Familiarity with SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO is a plus

• Good understanding of SAP system integration and interfaces

• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch or French is a plus

• Experience working in hybrid or remote setups

Nice to Have

• Experience with S/4HANA development, CDS Views, and AMDP

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 development concepts

• Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps tools

• Familiarity with transport management and SAP Solution Manager
