Location: Southampton
Working Pattern: Fractional / Part-Time (days to be agreed)

c.£500 a day, inside IR35

About the Company

Oakleaf Partnership are partnering with a growing, globally operating organisation entering an exciting new phase of scale. As they continue to expand across markets, they are looking to appoint their first in-house HR leader to help shape and support their people strategy.

This is a unique opportunity to join the business in a fractional capacity, working closely with senior leadership to build strong HR foundations and guide the organisation through its next stage of growth.

The Role

As our Fractional Head of HR, you will act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, bringing a hands on and strategic approach to all aspects of HR. You'll be responsible for establishing core people processes, ensuring compliance across multiple regions, and helping to build a high performing, engaged workforce.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional seeking a flexible, impactful position where you can truly shape the people agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a scalable HR strategy aligned with business growth
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders and leadership
  • Build and embed core HR processes, policies, and frameworks
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organisational design
  • Ensure compliance with employment law across relevant jurisdictions
  • Support hiring strategies and talent development initiatives
  • Lead on culture, engagement, and employee experience as the company grows
About You
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role (Head of HR / HR Director level)
  • Strong generalist HR expertise with both strategic and operational capability
  • Experience supporting high growth, scaling, or international businesses
  • Comfortable working in a standalone or first HR role environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Pragmatic, hands on approach with the ability to build from scratch
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent) preferred
