FPGA Engineer - RTL / Semiconductors

We are partnered with a well-funded stealth mode start-up in the Netherlands working on cutting-edge secure CPU technologies. They are looking to expand their team with an FPGA Engineer engineer to take an active role in the design, implementation, and optimization of FPGA solutions using RTL design methodologies.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities for this FPGA Engineer position:

• Design and develop FPGA solutions using RTL coding (VHDL/Verilog).
• Translate system requirements into efficient FPGA architectures.
• Optimize designs for timing, power, and area efficiency using tools like Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, and Lattice Diamond.
• Ensure compliance with timing, power, and area constraints through post-synthesis and post-route analysis.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects for seamless integration.
• Document designs, specifications, and test plans, and provide regular project updates.

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in FPGA development, focusing on RTL coding.
• Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog for digital design.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA platforms like Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Lattice.
• Strong knowledge of digital logic, RTL design, and FPGA tools like ModelSim.
• Familiarity with synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure methodologies.
