Position Overview
As a key member of the Ralph Lauren FP&A team, the Finance Manager is responsible for providing end-to-end financial support for EMEA store-related initiatives, including new store openings, renovations, refits, lease renewals, relocations, and temporary locations. This role also involves ownership of the Capital forecasting process and managing key Property-related P&L lines such as Depreciation, Rent, Rates, and Service Charges.
The ideal candidate is a commercially savvy, qualified finance professional with a solid foundation in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build influential cross-functional relationships. This role offers the opportunity to support strategic decisions and contribute to the business's long-term success in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment appraisals and modeling of pro-forma P&Ls for store projects, including scenario modeling and stakeholder alignment.
- Delivery of post-investment reviews to evaluate project performance against original business cases, identify key drivers, and develop recommendations for improvements.
- Ownership of budgeting and forecasting related to projects, including Capital and Rent.
- Building collaborative relationships to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across functions.
- Supporting the preparation and presentation of project review decks for senior management and decision forums.
- Analysis and reporting to support capital investment and ensure spending aligns with company policies and budgets.
- Mentoring junior finance team members, providing guidance and support.
- Assisting the Senior Finance Manager and broader FPA team with financial analysis and strategic or operational projects as needed.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop effective partnerships across management levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, with excellent organization skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable for results.
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, capable of working with large data volumes.
