Job Description

  1. Working closely with the rest of the FP&A team, BI team, developers, third party providers and finance colleagues to develop efficient information distribution solutions to best meet stakeholder needs.
  2. Scoping a full reporting suite for the Finance Department.
  3. Working to develop automated processes for connecting, extracting and curating data from multiple systems and data sources.
  4. Identifying the correct tool for visualising the outputs.
  5. Implementing best practices for file sharing Finance MI both internally and externally.
  6. Challenging operational processes and offering solutions which lead to improved timeliness of required data.
  7. Acting as a reporting centre of excellence, developing and promoting reporting standards and controls for the wider finance function, including providing reporting training and support to the wider finance team.
  8. Providing high-quality financial analysis to review and challenge strategic and tactical opportunities.
  9. Supporting corporate finance initiatives, such as acquisitions, joint ventures and other structural growth opportunities.
  10. Coaching, mentoring and developing other members of the wider finance team.
  11. Working collaboratively with fellow team members who operate and are accountable for upstream and downstream processes to drive a culture of continual process improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Excellent practical financial skills, versatility and flexibility.
  2. Significant previous experience in a senior finance role.
  3. Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  4. Great verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial and commercial analysis, choices, and recommendations to senior stakeholders with confidence.
  5. A strong systems aptitude, with experience of financial reporting across multiple disciplines using different systems and sources of information.
  6. Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities and evolving work demands without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
  7. Proven track record of financial reporting development, adaptation, and improvement, and design and application of reporting controls.
