Department: Finance

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Duleek

Description Who are we?

Bright Software Group provides industry leading software solutions for accountants, bookkeepers, and small businesses across the UK and Ireland. Our multi award winning, user friendly products help practices grow, automate admin, and serve their clients with confidence - underpinned by exceptional customer support.

Bright operates a recurring revenue model driven by SaaS metrics, with a growth strategy focused on both organic development and a buy and build acquisition programme. We invest continuously in our people, processes, and technology to deliver the insight and operational rigour expected of a high growth, PE backed software business.

The Opportunity

Bright is building a best in class Finance function and this is a high impact role at the heart of it. The FP&A Manager - Data & Business Intelligence will work closely with the VP of FP&A to lead the data strategy for Finance, own the monthly ARR snowball, build out the Power BI reporting layer, and shape the intelligence that informs Board, investor, and commercial decisions.

This is an opportunity for a qualified finance professional with a passion for data and business intelligence to play a defining part in a rapidly growing PE backed SaaS business at a pivotal stage.

What Will You Do?

As FP&A Manager - Data & Business Intelligence, you will sit at the intersection of Finance, Data, and commercial decision making. You will be responsible for driving data integrity, building scalable BI infrastructure, and delivering the financial insight that supports Bright's growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data, Business Intelligence & ARR Snowball: Own the monthly ARR snowball from extraction to Board presentation. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards across core SaaS KPIs, replacing manual Excel reporting with a scalable self serve environment. Maintain data integrity across NetSuite, HiBob, and HubSpot, and lead Finance data governance including metric definitions and quality controls.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the monthly FP&A close cycle, including variance analysis and Board commentary. Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with department heads. Maintain the Group's financial model and scenario outputs to support strategic decisions and investor readiness.
  • Finance Business Partnering: Serve as the primary Finance Business Partner to key departments, translating data into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders. Challenge assumptions constructively and add commercial value beyond the numbers.
  • Team Leadership & Strategic Projects: Manage and develop FP&A and BI analysts, with a clear path to building a small team as the function scales. Support the CFO and VP of FP&A on investor reporting, due diligence, and M&A workstreams. Drive continuous improvement across Finance processes and tooling.
Key Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • 4+ years of post qualification commercial finance experience in industry (FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering).
  • Proven expertise in Power BI: data modelling (DAX, Power Query/M), dashboard design, and deployment to business stakeholders.
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel, with a focus on structure, auditability, and accuracy.
  • Experience owning or contributing to ARR snowball and SaaS metric production in a recurring revenue business.
  • Confident communicator, able to present complex analysis clearly to non finance audiences including C suite and investors.
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
Nice to Have
  • Experience in a PE backed or high growth SaaS or technology business.
  • Familiarity with data platforms beyond Power BI (e.g. SQL, Python/pandas, Snowflake, dbt).
  • Demonstrated experience managing, coaching, and developing analysts.
  • Practical use of AI tools to improve finance workflows.
What We Offer
  • Competitive starting salary
  • Performance related bonus scheme.
  • Health insurance and 5% matched pension contributions.
  • Direct exposure to a PE backed SaaS business at a pivotal stage of growth.
  • Access to cutting edge BI and AI tooling, with the autonomy to build the data layer properly.
  • A forward thinking Finance team that values data, automation, and continuous improvement.
