Job Description

The FP&A Analyst will support the Finance Business Partner for Real Estate in delivering high-quality financial insight, reporting and analysis to Shoosmiths' Real Estate Division. The role will play a key part in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and cost analysis, helping stakeholders to understand financial performance and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Produce timely and accurate management information for the Real Estate Division, including monthly reporting, variance analysis and commentary
  • Analyse cost trends, drivers and performance against budget and forecast
  • Support the development and tracking of KPIs and performance metrics
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support the annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes for the Real Estate Division
  • Work with budget holders to gather inputs, challenge assumptions and ensure consistency
  • Maintain forecast models and supporting schedules
Business Partnering Support
  • Act as a key finance contact for the Real Estate Division teams on day to day queries
  • Support the Finance Business Partner in preparing materials for stakeholder meetings
  • Help translate financial data into clear, meaningful insight for non finance stakeholders
Decision Support & Projects
  • Assist with investment appraisals, business cases and cost benefit analysis
  • Support ad hoc analysis for strategic initiatives and transformation projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting and controls
Systems & Data
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used for reporting and analysis
  • Help improve the use of finance systems, models and reporting tools
  • Document processes and support standardisation across FP&A activities
Skills & Experience
  • Part qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent FP&A experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial information
  • Good Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work with non finance stakeholders
  • Experience in an FP&A, management accounting or business partnering role
  • Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Experience in a Legal or professional services people cost led environment
