Founding Engineer
Posted 3 hours 12 minutes ago by Generative Group
A fast-growing healthcare technology start-up is using artificial intelligence to improve clinical trial recruitment. Its platform automates tasks such as contacting potential participants, pre-screening, scheduling and follow-up, helping research teams spend less time on manual administration and more time supporting clinical studies.
The company's mission is to remove a major operational bottleneck in clinical research and help treatments reach patients sooner. Its longer-term ambition is to develop technology that supports more of the clinical research process. The team brings together engineers, artificial intelligence specialists, clinicians and healthcare operators. Its culture values ownership, initiative, collaboration and continuous learning, offering the opportunity to make a direct contribution to a product already in use and help shape the company as it grows.
What the job entailsAs a Founding Engineer, you will build and scale the core systems that enable AI agents to support clinical trial recruitment. You will design and develop agent-based systems, from voice interactions to workflow orchestration, and take complex projects from technical architecture through to deployment.
You will help develop reliable infrastructure, monitoring and observability, and build data pipelines to process and serve healthcare information. You will also evaluate and integrate new AI models and improve internal tools to support new product capabilities and help the engineering team work more effectively.
This is a high-ownership role: you will work closely with colleagues across engineering, AI, clinical and operational teams, using your judgement to solve difficult problems and deliver high-quality products quickly. The role is based in the London office five days a week.
