Food Waste Collector
Assignment: Temporary position starting as soon as possible running until December 2026
Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour
Location: Plymouth, PL4
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:30-16:15 (37 hours per week)

About the Role
This is a physically demanding, fast paced position that requires good stamina and a positive, can do attitude.

You'll be responsible for loading and unloading waste bins, with flexibility to support other collections when needed. Expect plenty of fresh air and movement, the role regularly involves high step counts (30,000 +) and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• Recent experience in a similar role / manual labour or manual handling (within the last 6 months).
  
  
• Ability to commit to the working hours and arrive on site before the 06:30 crew departure.
  
  
• Strong teamwork skills - communication, reliability, and a cooperative attitude are essential to keep collections running smoothly and safely.
  
  
• Ability to complete all required compliance and referencing checks.
