Job Description:Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded alternative provision school in Macclesfield. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. This school caters to students aged 13-16 who are at risk of permanent exclusion or struggling to engage in mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons tailored to the needs of individual students.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Engage with parents, carers, and external partners to support student development.
- Provides a balanced curriculum, including up to 12 GCSEs or industry-equivalent qualifications.
- Offers vocational training in areas such as bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, construction, fashion design, textile design, and hair & beauty.
- Focusses on fostering positive relationships between students, staff, and the wider community.
- Committed to helping students discover their potential, explore their interests, and achieve their goals.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
