Duties as a Food Technician:- Preparing ingredients, materials, and equipment for practical lessons
- Supporting the delivery of Food Technology lessons
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring resources are readily available
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when required
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Cleaning and maintaining food preparation areas
- Assisting teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Supporting students during practical activities where appropriate
- Previous experience in a food preparation, catering, or technician role is desirable
- Food Hygiene qualification is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
