Job Description
Our Client are looking to recruit Production Operatives to be a huge part of our operation and work across every area of the plant undertaking a variety of crucial tasks to maintain our high standards. You will be part of a busy team working to assist in the manufacture of food products to the established standards of safety, output, quality, and hygiene.
Your Time at Work- Work safely at all times in accordance with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, practices and legislation to correctly prepare packaging for food products with respect to container, label and coding.
- Carry out cleaning schedules in the production and packaging area ensuring a very high standard of hygiene / sanitation is achieved, in addition, placing emphasis on the Factory's "clean as you go" policy.
- Store, feed, mix, blend, extrude, and package food products as appropriate, ensuring high standards of good manufacturing practice.
- Pack / metal detect, inspect, products and established standards of weight control.
- Palletise, wrap and label finished goods as required.
- To complete to the established standard all relevant process / food safety documentation.
- To bring to the attention of your Team Leader any discrepancies in materials, operating machinery or final product.
- To support in other departments as required in relation to manpower deployment, holiday and absence cover.
- To ensure food safety, legality and quality requirements are met at all times.
- To carry out any reasonable duty as requested by Production Management.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing would be desirable but not essential.
- All basic training will be provided, however, good numeric and computer skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work well within a team environment - with good communication skills.
- Results focused to ensure that all targets are met.
- Strong communications skills, verbal and written.
- Self motivated and uses initiative.
- Strong team player who adopts continuous improvement approach.
- Promotes safe working practices.
- This role involves significant manual handling up to 25kg.
Monday to Friday Early/Back Shift weekly rotating: 6am to 2.30pm and 2pm to 10.30pm
