The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us. We're looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you'd be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.
This location is in a rural area, so please think about how you'd get here for work, before applying for the job.
Hours/ working pattern: 1820 hours per year. Working pattern 36 weeks of the year would be 9.30am 5.30pm hrs during the summer - winter months 16 weeks 10.00am 4.30hrs. Rest days Fridays and Saturdays but we are looking for some flexibility.
This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
Salary: £12.75 per hour

As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your 'can do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you'll be ensuring everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that's constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.
You'll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You'll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you'll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
We'll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
