Created from an impeccable restoration of four Georgian Townhouses, the 142 bedroom and suite hotel is arranged around two 18th Century style gardens. The Merrion is home to Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, a Two Star Michelin Restaurant, The Cellar Bar, The Garden Room, and the intimate No. 23 Cocktail Bar. Another key feature of The Merrion Hotel is its stunning art collection-the largest private collection of 19th and 20th century art in Ireland. This art collection provides the inspiration for The Merrion's Art Tea.
The Merrion Hotel has partnered with Flow Hospitality Training to provide a bespoke learning management system for all of our team members. The Merrion is the first hotel in Ireland to provide accredited and tailor made training via Flow Hospitality Training.
The Merrion Hotel, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking a Food & Beverage Dining Reservations to join our F&B team. Role SummaryThe Food & Beverage Dining Reservations is responsible for managing restaurant reservations and guest enquiries while delivering an exceptional guest experience. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and team to ensure smooth operations, maximise sales opportunities, and uphold The Merrion's high standards in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all Food & Beverage reservations and enquiries, both internal and external, in line with hotel standards and GDPR policies.
- Operate reservation and hotel systems efficiently and maintain accurate records.
- Anticipate guest needs and deliver five star service to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Liaise effectively with all departments to ensure seamless communication and guest experience.
- Maintain stationery and filing systems, ensuring documentation is complete, secure, and easy to access.
- Create and issue function sheets, record guest details, and communicate special requests to relevant departments.
- Promote sales opportunities within the scope of your role, supporting overall hotel revenue goals.
- Attend briefings, follow management instructions, and assist colleagues as required.
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies, health and safety, licensing, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance, language, and behaviour at all times.
- Be flexible and assist across the hotel in response to business and guest needs.
- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Is professional, courteous, and guest focused with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Can multitask efficiently in a busy hospitality environment.
- Is confident working independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates flexibility, initiative, and commitment to high service standards.
- Has knowledge of hotel and F&B operations (an advantage, but full training will be provided).
- Full time role, with flexibility required, including weekdays, weekends.
