37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week out of 7, 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis. No evening work.
As Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in one of the National Trust's busiest and most exciting food and beverage operations. Based at Calke Abbey, you'll support food and beverage delivery across multiple locations including Staunton Harold Reservoir, Foremark Reservoir and Stoneywell Tearoom, helping to create memorable experiences for our visitors while driving commercial success.
Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef, you'll help lead a diverse and growing operation at a particularly exciting time. Following the recent opening of our new production kitchen, you'll support the development of new business opportunities, improve operational efficiency and help shape the future of our food and beverage offer across the portfolio.
You'll be responsible for leading and developing our front of house teams, sharing responsibility for approximately 100 team members alongside two other Assistant Managers. You'll inspire, coach and support Team Leaders and staff to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring our outlets operate smoothly, safely and efficiently every day.
A key part of the role will be supporting the Food & Beverage Manager with recruitment, training and people development. You'll help create a positive and engaging place to work, identifying future leaders and ensuring teams have the skills, confidence and support they need to succeed.
You'll have a strong commercial focus, helping to manage budgets, control costs, maximise sales opportunities and contribute to achieving income targets. You'll continually look for ways to improve visitor experience, service standards and operational performance across all sites.
This is a fast paced, varied and hands on management role that requires excellent organisational skills, strong leadership and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. Who we're looking for- Used to achieving outstanding customer service in a similar environment
- A good leader of people, skilled in setting personal objectives and giving feedback
- Experienced with budgets to increase income and control costs (including managing stock and waste)
- A people person, with a friendly attitude and great communication skills
- Aware of health and safety compliance
