What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and delivering flood risk assessments, SuDS, and drainage strategies for a wide variety of projects.
• Running and reviewing flood modelling, interpreting data to influence designs and planning outcomes.
• Producing high-quality technical reports and submissions, including flood risk assessments, drainage designs, and supporting planning documentation.
• Engaging with clients, planners, regulators, and consultants to ensure projects are technically sound and policy-compliant.
• Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues to maintain best practice and technical excellence.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer, ideally 3-5+ years in consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong technical grounding in SuDS design, surface water / foul drainage, and flood risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with hydraulic / hydrology modelling tools and UK regulatory frameworks (EA, LLFA, planning policy).
• Degree-qualified in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline); chartership (or working towards it) with CIWEM/ICE is a strong advantage.
• Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate remotely while building trust with clients and regulators.
