Fixed Wire Testing Manager

Cookstown £40,000-£50,000 Permanent Full-time

Are you an experienced Testing & Inspection professional looking to take the next step into leadership? Our client, a leading engineering organisation, is seeking a Fixed Wire Testing Manager to oversee their electrical testing and inspection operations across various sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and proven team management experience to join a growing business with an excellent reputation for quality and safety.

The Role:
  • Lead and manage a small team of electrical Testing & Inspection Technicians.
  • Oversee fixed wire testing, commissioning, and inspection activities both in-house and on-site.
  • Coordinate and conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
  • Ensure full compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve technical queries and provide progress updates.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, promoting best practice and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports for all testing activities.
About You:
  • 2395 or equivalent Testing & Inspection certification (essential).
  • Strong hands on experience in electrical testing and inspection.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a technical environment.
  • Excellent electrical fault finding and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
