The Lunch Bag is a leading Irish school meal delivery service dedicated to providing free, hot meals to children across the country. We are looking for a reliable Fitter/CareTaker to support the rollout and maintenance of school kitchen equipment.

Position Overview

This full time role involves driving to schools, installing and maintaining ovens, and providing training and support to on site staff. The position requires a strong commitment to safety and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess suitable locations for installing ovens within schools.
• Prepare sites for new oven installation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Repair or replace ovens as required to maintain service quality.
• Train school staff on proper oven operation and safety procedures.
• Conduct regular visits to ensure equipment remains in good working order.

Qualifications

• Valid Irish driving licence (clean record).
• Experience driving regularly.
• Hands on mechanical skills and ability to repair appliances.
• Patience and ability to train others.
• Strong common sense and problem solving abilities.
• Comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to think on your feet.
• Outgoing, team oriented personality.
• Motivation to make a real difference in children's lives and support a positive team culture.

Benefits & Working Hours

• Full time schedule: 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.
