Fire Service & Maintenance EngineerLocation: Midlands - Nottingham/Leicester/DerbyType: PermanentSalary: Basic up to £42,440 per annum + overtime, travel time & out-of-hours fees

My client is recruiting for a Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer to join their motivated and successful team. You will be responsible for delivering PPM servicing, repairs, and maintenance of life safety systems while ensuring health & safety compliance. Each day will bring a new challenge, working within a small area and engaging with clients to uphold exceptional customer service standards.

What We're Looking For:

Previous Fire Alarm Experience with knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional systems

FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals

Understanding of BS5839 (Parts 1 & 6)

IT literacy and strong communication skills

Full UK Driving License

A flexible approach, working a minimum of 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri), with opportunities to earn significantly more through overtime and out-of-hours call-outs

Your Responsibilities:

Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1), emergency lighting, Nurse Call & Access Control

Complete engineer service reports and identify system deficiencies

Conduct emergency lighting system checks and maintain associated safety equipment

Maintain van stock and liaise with procurement for replenishments

Ensure Health & Safety compliance and report any risks

Achieve first-time fixes wherever possible
