Job Description

Fire Safety Manager
South East London
Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm (hybrid position)
3 to 6 month ongoing contract
£600 p/d umbrella depending on experience

About the Role As Fire Safety Manager, you will:

Lead on all fire safety policy, inspections, and compliance across housing stock.
Manage and guide a team of Fire Safety Surveyors and external consultants.
Provide expert advice and strategic direction on fire risk assessments and fire safety works.
Deliver training, ensure legal compliance, and represent the Council when required.
Contribute to making Southwark a safer, fairer place for all.

What We're Looking For You'll need:

Level 4 Fire Safety qualification and FSA Tier 3 status.
Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation (e.g. Fire Safety Order 2005, PAS 79, Building Safety Act).
Demonstrated experience managing fire safety in housing, including liaison with the Fire Brigade.
A confident leader who can explain complex fire safety issues to stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for public service and commitment to equality and accountability.
