Job Title: Fire & Security Engineer Description

Due to continued growth, we are hiring for our client as they look to appoint an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their established engineering team based in Newry. This Fire & Security Engineer role will involve the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of fire and security systems across sites typically within a 20-mile radius of Newry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire & Security Engineer who enjoys a varied role, working with high-quality systems in a supportive and flexible working environment. The Fire & Security Engineer will benefit from a stable workload, local travel, and a package that reflects experience and capability.

Our client is also open to considering 2nd or 3rd year apprentices who are keen to continue developing their skills within a supportive and experienced team. The salary for this Fire & Security Engineer position will be reflective of experience and level.

The Role
  • Installation, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems

  • Fault finding and remedial works on existing systems

  • Working across intruder alarms, fire detection, CCTV and access control

  • Completing service documentation and reports accurately

  • Providing a professional, customer-focused service on every site

The Person
  • Proven experience as a Fire & Security Engineer or similar role

  • Strong technical knowledge of fire and/or security systems

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

  • Good communication skills and a professional approach with clients

  • Full UK driving licence
