We are currently looking for an experienced Finishing Foreman to join a busy residential new-build development in the Wirral.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established and reputable contractor on a well-managed housing project, with ongoing work available.

The successful candidate will oversee the final stages of the build programme, ensuring plots are completed to a high standard, delivered on schedule, and ready for customer handovers, NHBC inspections and Building Control sign-off.

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive individual with a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and proven experience managing finishing works on residential housing developments. A joinery or multi-skilled trades background would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate finishing trades across multiple plots.
  • Ensure properties are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and company quality standards.
  • Carry out regular snagging inspections and oversee the rectification of defects.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure consistently high-quality finishes throughout the development.
  • Supervise subcontractors and direct labour on site.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures and site requirements are followed.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure plots are completed within programme and ready for customer handovers and NHBC/Building Control inspections.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate site records and reports.
  • Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep works progressing to programme.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman on new-build residential housing developments.
  • Strong knowledge of finishing works, snagging and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple trades and work effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Joinery or multi-trade background highly advantageous.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to managing finishing works on site.
