Our prestigious client, Johnnie Walker Princes Street, is currently looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual who will be responsible for processing deliveries/transfers, sending shipments (UK/International paperwork), maintaining inventories and updating records, as well as assisting customer enquiries over the phone/email. The role also supports the store team with customer requests and item personalisation (engraving).
The candidate must be a motivating presence, creating a collaborative work environment both back and front of house. Facilitating operational excellence and top-class customer service, contributing to the achievement of store financial goals.
Responsibilities- Administer all company policies and procedures.
- Assist in all areas of stock, shipping, receiving protocol/policies and related paperwork.
- Investigate any stock errors or discrepancies, escalating concerns where necessary to the Management Team.
- Maintain and build interdepartmental communication to ensure excellent staff experience and customer service.
- Maintain and organize the stockroom to high operational standards.
- Create systems to maximize space in the stockroom and make merchandise easily accessible for staff.
- Ensure stock handling areas are kept clean and orderly, adhering to Health & Safety, Fire and Emergency procedures.
- Work closely with Management, colleagues and the Visual Merchandising Manager.
- Prepare for and support company driven promotions and launches to meet sales targets.
- Assist with local events as directed by the Store Manager.
- Track inventory levels for Retail Consumables and PPE.
- Keep the sales floor and merchandise neat, organized and stocked.
- Pack defective items or overstock and arrange return shipment per Head Office guidelines.
- Assist managers and associates in preventing theft and maintaining proper inventory.
- Facilitate loss prevention initiatives to reduce shrinkage and attend store meetings.
- Manage relevant training, development sessions, programs and meetings as directed by store management.
- Support servicing customers on the shop floor when needed.
- Check pre orders and personalization requests to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Provide the highest level of customer service in person, over the phone and through email.
- Answer customer and sales associate questions about available items in stock.
- Retrieve items from the stockroom at customer request.
- Accommodate special requests for customers.
- Resolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
- Process customer orders.
- Track customer shipments, follow up on tracking details to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, challenging environment.
- Multi tasking capability, able to handle multiple tasks easily.
- Positive representation of the brand, promoting responsible drinking.
- Support sustainability protocols, ensuring correct disposal of packaging.
- Compliance with grooming and uniform standards.
- Proven retail and back of house experience required; previous sales and operations experience wanted.
- Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
