Star Actuarial is representing an exceptional opportunity to lead the oversight of the Group's balance sheets and delivery of the long-term financial strategy.

In this highly visible role, you will design and maintain effective, proportionate and risk-based oversight activities for Line 2 while providing clarity to the business on requirements around risk management and appetite.

You will also draw on your well-honed influencing skills to challenge executive-level decisions and use your people leadership expertise to foster a team culture of coaching, support and development.

With an in-depth understanding of the principles of business planning, balance sheet management and optimisation, the successful candidate will additionally possess extensive experience in effective and efficient financial risk oversight.

• Design and maintain oversight activities for balance sheet management that are proportionate, risk-based and aligned with the Group's risk appetite.
• Provide clarity to the business on risk management requirements and appetite.
• Influence executive-level decisions and develop a team culture focused on coaching, support and development.
• Apply principles of business planning and balance sheet optimisation to ensure effective financial risk oversight.

Qualifications

• Qualified, technically-minded life actuary with deep understanding of balance sheet management and ALM.
• Extensive exposure to insurance, credit and market risks.
• Experience in design and delivery of financial risk oversight in a large organisation.
