About the role: As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership of a team, driving process improvement, operational excellence and contributing towards broader team strategies. This will be achieved through leading, motivating and coaching a team that is focused on outcomes, being open-minded and embracing change whilst valuing diverse perspectives and channelling a 'can-do' attitude. You will support business and people growth through connecting and collaborating across the business to enable Aztec's future ambitions. Key responsibilities Lead a team of accountants in delivery of services for various fund and corporate structures Review the bookkeeping and reporting, including complex calculations, reconciliations, management accounts, group reporting, and statutory reporting, for a range of funds, corporate companies and associated fund structures Act as a higher authority on day-to-day accounting queries and act as 4-eyes signatory on accounting matters, ensuring that company policy and professional and regulatory guidelines are adhered to and that a professional quality of service is provided to clients and external contacts Manage and review the completion of audit queries, ensuring timely delivery of support and conclusion of the audits Liaise with auditors, lawyers, tax advisors and other parties Act as a 4-eyes signatory on client payments, as well as drawdowns and distributions, ensuring that company policies are adhered to Ensure ISAE compliance is adhered to, making sure all risk events are recorded and acted upon promptly Supervise and assist in the training, development and the appraisal process for members of staff Completion of internal administrative activities such as monthly and quarterly billing processes, maintaining oversight of the financial performance of your team What we're looking for Professional qualification e.g. ACCA or ACA qualified is essential. Accounting expertise , with strong knowledge of bookkeeping, management accounts, statutory reporting, reconciliations, and financial control. Leadership experience , including motivating, coaching, and developing a team, as well as participating in appraisals and supporting career growth. Technical competence to act as a 4 eyes signatory and handle complex accounting queries with sound judgement and attention to regulatory and policy compliance. Audit management experience , including liaising with auditors and addressing audit queries promptly and accurately. Strong stakeholder management , able to collaborate effectively with auditors, lawyers, tax advisors, internal colleagues, and clients. Process improvement mindset , comfortable driving operational excellence and embracing change. Risk awareness , ensuring ISAE compliance and timely handling of risk events. Organisational and administrative skills , including oversight of billing processes and monitoring team financial performance. Positive, can do attitude , open mindedness, and ability to work well across teams to support broader business strategy.
