Financial Reporting Manager

Financial Reporting Accountant Location: Blackburn - HybridReporting to CFO An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially focused Financial Reporting Manager to join a private equity-backed business. The business is part of a larger, well established group and is entering a significant phase of expansion and operational scaling.This is a high-impact role working closely with the CFO, offering genuine exposure to strategic decision-making within a dynamic, acquisitive environment.The Role:You will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Production of monthly management accounts and performance reporting
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Group budgeting and ongoing reforecasting
• Financial modelling and appraisal support
• Preparation of statutory accounts and VAT returns
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations
• Supporting audit preparation and enhancing financial processes
• Leading and developing a small, high-performing finance team
• Translating financial performance into clear insight for operational leaders

Youl will need to be:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong technical grounding with commercial awareness
• Comfortable improving processes in a scaling business
• A proactive, hands-on leader who enjoys building capability within a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
