About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director (Tax) to join the Financial Planning Team within Private Clients. In the role, the successful candidate will focus on delivering tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients. The role requires strong project management and organisational skills, along with an innovative mindset, to drive effective outcomes for both existing clients and new business opportunities. Working as part of a collaborative team of in-house financial planning specialists, the individual will provide technical support, contribute to client meetings, and partner closely with financial advisers to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning team to design and deliver tailored financial planning and investment solutions for high-net-worth clients, drawing on expertise across pensions, taxation, and investments.
  • Support the development of tax-efficient wealth management strategies for UHNW families in partnership with clients' tax and legal advisers, including advising on the taxation of investment solutions.
  • Continuously enhance and innovate the firm's service offering to ensure delivery of market-leading, holistic advice.
  • Play a key role in promoting and marketing the firm's financial planning services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key intermediaries and professional service firms.
  • Provide technical tax training to financial planners and advisers.
  • Produce topical technical updates and ongoing tax guidance for advisers and clients.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable Risk & Compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
About you
  • Degree or Master's level qualification.
  • Minimum of two+ years post-qualification experience in a client-facing technical role, preferably within private client services.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish tax, with a working understanding of pensions and investment products.
  • Fully qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).
  • Additional professional qualifications are advantageous (e.g., Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), Qualified Solicitor, Qualified Accountant, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset, with excellent planning and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively manage stakeholders, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Meets Fitness & Probity standards as required.
